Why when I transform an object in gimp it gets blurry even with an 8 bit style image?

If I'm trying to make an 8 bit style image bigger using the transform tool (images that are old-school video game style that are made out of really big pixels) it gets blurry instead of blurry instead of even more pixely.

I don`t know if this can help. But you can try a Gimp plug-in called Refocus. It will work in gimp version 2.4. Here is where you can get 2.4
