What is transparent yet can be seen clearly weights nothing but when you put it in an object it weights less?

a hole. What is transparent yet can be seen clearly weights nothing but when you put it in an object it weights less?
wrong, a hole. What is transparent yet can be seen clearly weights nothing but when you put it in an object it weights less?
air
air
methane
Can't be a hole: A hole cannot be seen at all - only the structure which surrounds it can be seen - but I'd bank on this one if your riddler is less literal minded.

Can't be air, air has mass.

Can't be methane, it has mass, as do hydrogen, helium, etc.
helium
I would say helium, because weight is a measure of gravities force on a mass, except you cannot see helium (atleast not in its true state). I believe the answer is indeed a whole. The questioneer here was thinking that when you see and object and a hole is in it, this observation alone is enough in most cases for you to know that hteres a hole, (i.e. you ';see the hole';. ) I agree you cannot see the actuall hole, only that the structure around it is missing a piece, but i dont think the person asking this question thought of it in that way. Besides Ive heard a similar riddle on a show on nickelodean before. ';what can you put in a barrel, that will make it lighter';.. (a hole).
